About Me

My name is Kieran Hearn, I live in Brisbane with my wife Cassandra Damms, and I am a proud Aboriginal artist whose mob comes from Cunnamulla in South-West Queensland, sharing connection to the Kunja and Kooma Nations. My totems are the wedge-tailed eagle and the king brown snake, which hold deep spiritual meaning and connection for me throughout my journey in life and art.

I began painting as a self-taught artist, guided not by formal training, but by a deep spiritual connection to Dreamtime stories, Country, and Creator. From a young age, art became more than just painting to me — it became a way to express emotion, tell stories, heal, and connect people together through culture and spirit.

For me, Aboriginal art carries over 80,000 years of culture, knowledge, storytelling, songlines, dance, and connection. Every piece I create holds meaning, energy, and intention. My artworks are inspired by spirituality, Mother Earth, ancestral connection, personal experiences, and the many lessons I have learned through both the highs and lows of life.

Those experiences have shaped not only who I am as a person, but the emotion and depth behind every painting I create.I work across many different styles, colours, and materials depending on the vision and story behind each piece. I paint on canvas and fabrics using acrylics, textured paints, glitter, traditional ochres, metallics, and vibrant modern colours. I love combining traditional earthy tones like red and yellow ochre with bold contemporary colours such as pinks, greens, golds, silvers, and bright palettes that bring energy and life into each artwork.

My art is deeply spiritual and therapeutic. I create to bring people together, to spark conversation, to heal, and to help people feel emotionally and spiritually connected. I want people to look at my work and feel something meaningful — not disconnected from it, but drawn into the story and energy within the piece.

Over time, I have travelled to different communities, painting on hats, fabrics, and custom pieces while connecting with people from many walks of life. Listening to people’s stories and spiritual connections allows me to create personalised artworks that resonate deeply with them on an emotional and spiritual level. I believe art becomes most powerful when people can truly see themselves and their story reflected within it.

One of the biggest inspirations behind this journey is my family and my wife, who runs this business alongside me. Without her support, belief, and spiritual grounding, I honestly do not believe I would be where I am today. Our connection was built through spirituality, shared vision, and purpose, and together we are building this business with love, healing, culture, and community at the centre of it all. This journey is something we are creating together to honour our experiences, our growth, and the legacy we hope to leave behind.

My mission is bigger than creating art. My vision is to give back to struggling Indigenous communities and help create opportunities for our people through education, creativity, and support. I want this journey to help provide funding and pathways for Indigenous youth and families who may not otherwise have access to schooling, TAFE, university, creative programs, or opportunities to pursue their dreams.

Every artwork I create carries a piece of spirit, story, and connection to Country. Through this business, I hope to continue sharing culture, creating meaningful conversations, and bringing people together through art, healing, and unity.
