About The Artist
Kieran Hearn | Contemporary Aboriginal Artist
I am a proud Aboriginal artist from Cunnamulla in South-West Queensland, Australia with strong cultural ties to the Kunja and Kooma Nations. My totem are the Possum and Wedge-tailed Eagle which hold deep spiritual meaning and connection for me throughout my journey in life and art.
I am a self-taught artist, and my passion for painting comes from a deep spiritual connection to Dreamtime, Country, and Creator. From a young age, I was drawn to storytelling through art as a way of expressing culture, emotion, and connection.
My work is inspired by Aboriginal culture and its 80,000+ year history of storytelling, songlines, and spiritual connection. Through my art, I aim to share stories that connect people to Country and to each other.

I work with a range of materials including acrylics, canvas, textured paints, glitter, and both traditional ochre tones and modern colour palettes. Each piece reflects a balance between tradition and contemporary expression.
For me, art is about connection — to culture, to people, and to spirit. It is a way of sharing meaning, emotion, and story in a way that speaks beyond words.
When the Journey Began
My journey into art began during one of the most profound and life-changing moments of my life — the passing of my beautiful mother, Valerie Kate Hearn 28/07/2022
In the quiet space of grief and reflection, I found myself turning to art without even fully realising what it would become. What started as a personal way to process my emotions slowly became something much deeper — a path of healing, connection, and spiritual grounding.

Through painting, I began to feel close to my mother again. Every brushstroke became a memory, a conversation, and a way of honouring her life, her love, and the impact she continues to have on me.
From that moment forward, art became more than expression. It became purpose. It became a way for me to transform pain into something meaningful, and to turn emotion into something I could share with others.
My beautiful wife, Cassie also inspired me and enabled my dreams and visions to come to life, without her Management expertise all this wouldn't be possible. Today, everything I create is still connected to that beginning — grounded in love, guided by spirit, and inspired by a bond that will never fade.
