Sacred Mother Dreaming is a deeply personal work honouring the enduring strength, protection and influence of a mother — a connection that does not simply disappear when life changes, children grow, or someone we love is no longer physically beside us.

The work is also a tribute to the artist's late mother, Valerie Kate Hearn, whose passing became a profound influence on his life and creative journey.

Her influence became part of the inspiration behind the artist's work and the story of Kunja Dreaming: a desire to create, to honour where he comes from, and ultimately to make his mother proud.
